Who can open a CSwitch merchant account?

Registered companies, partnerships and sole traders operating in Nigeria. You apply from your phone, and we confirm your details before the account is fully active.

What documents do I need?

Your CAC registration documents, a valid government ID for each director or owner, and your BVN. We may ask for proof of address for some merchants.

How long does verification take?

Most applications are reviewed quickly once every document is in. If something is missing, we'll tell you exactly what and how to send it.

Can I use CSwitch for more than one merchant?

Yes. Each registered merchant gets its own account, and you can switch between them with one login.

How do my customers pay me?

By card, bank transfer or payment link, online or at your counter with a CSwitch POS terminal. Every payment lands in your CSwitch merchant account.

What is a virtual account number?

An account number linked to one customer, order or invoice. When money arrives on it, we know exactly who paid and for what, so you never chase a screenshot.

Can a payment link expire?

Yes. Set an end date when you create the link, which is handy for sales, events and limited stock.

A customer says they paid but I can't see it. What should I do?

Ask for the transaction reference and search for it in your dashboard. If it still doesn't show, raise a ticket with the reference and we'll trace it for you.

Which terminal does CSwitch use?

An Android terminal with a card reader, contactless, a printer and a long-life battery. It takes card, tap and transfer payments and prints a receipt with your merchant name.

How do I get a terminal?

Open a merchant account, then request a terminal for each till or branch. Talk to sales if you need several.

My terminal isn't printing receipts.

Check the paper roll is loaded the right way round and the cover is fully closed. If it still won't print, raise a ticket with your terminal number.

Can I reprint an old receipt?

Yes. Open the transaction history on the terminal, pick the payment and print it again.

Which banks can I send money to?

Any bank account in Nigeria. You see the account name before you confirm, so the money goes to the right person.

How do bulk payouts work?

Upload a CSV or Excel file with names, banks and amounts. We check every account first, you approve the batch, and you can watch it send.

Can I require a second approval for large transfers?

Yes. Set an amount above which transfers wait for a second person on your team to approve them.

What happens if a transfer fails?

The money returns to your balance and you get an alert. You can retry once the recipient's details are corrected.

How do I keep my account safe?

Never share your PIN, password or one-time codes with anyone, including people who say they work for CSwitch. We will never ask for them.

Can I give my staff access?

Yes. Invite team members and choose what each person can see and do, from viewing payments to approving payouts.

I think someone else has accessed my account.

Change your password and PIN straight away, then raise a ticket marked urgent or call support. We can freeze outgoing transfers while we look into it.

How do I bank on WhatsApp?

Link your account in the CSwitchPay app, then chat with us on WhatsApp to check your balance or send money. Every transfer still asks for your PIN.

How much does CSwitch cost?

Fees are listed on our pricing page. You pay on successful payments and transfers, and larger merchants can talk to sales about volume pricing.

Where do I get a statement?

Download one from your dashboard for any period, as PDF or CSV. It's accepted for loan applications, visas and audits.

When do card and POS payments settle?

Your dashboard shows the settlement schedule for each payment method, and every payment shows its status as it moves.

How do I dispute a charge?

Raise a ticket with the transaction reference, or use our complaints page if you're not happy with how something was handled.
